Assign Technicians

As a dispatcher, you assign technicians to bookings. VISOTASK® supports you with automatic conflict detection and drag-and-drop functionality.

Assign via the Booking

  1. Open the desired booking under Bookings
  2. Click Assign Technician
  3. Available technicians are displayed with their current workload
  4. Select the appropriate technician
  5. Confirm the assignment

Drag and Drop in the Week View

  1. Open Dispatch → Week View
  2. On the left side, you will see unassigned bookings
  3. Drag a booking onto the desired technician and time slot
  4. Release to complete the assignment
  5. The booking appears in the technician’s calendar

Conflict Detection

VISOTASK® automatically checks for conflicts:

  • Time overlap — The technician already has a job in the same time frame
  • Absence — The technician is absent during the selected period
  • Travel time — Travel time between two jobs is insufficient

When a conflict is detected, a warning appears with details:

  1. Review the displayed conflict description
  2. Choose Assign Anyway or Cancel

Note: Conflict warnings can be configured in settings.

Change or Remove Assignment

  1. Click the assigned job in the week view
  2. Select Change Assignment or Remove Assignment
  3. For changes, select the new technician
  4. The affected technician is automatically notified

Multi-Technician Assignment

For jobs requiring multiple technicians:

  1. Open the booking
  2. Click Add Another Technician
  3. Repeat for all required technicians
  4. Optionally designate a team leader
