Manage Absences

Record vacation, sick leave, and other absences for your technicians so that scheduling is automatically adjusted.

Record an Absence

  1. Navigate to Dispatch → Absences
  2. Click New Absence
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Technician — Affected employee
    • Type — Vacation, sick leave, training, or other
    • Period — Start and end date
    • All Day — Yes or custom times
    • Note — Optional comment
  4. Click Save Absence

Absence Types

Impact on Scheduling

When you record an absence, VISOTASK® automatically checks:

  1. Existing bookings — All bookings during the absence period are flagged
  2. Conflict warnings — You receive a list of affected jobs
  3. Reassignment — Reassign affected bookings to other technicians

Note: For sick leave, it is recommended to reassign affected bookings immediately.

Absence Overview

  1. The absence overview shows all planned and current absences
  2. Filter by technician, time period, or type
  3. Absences are highlighted in the week view
  4. Export the overview as CSV if needed

Edit or Delete an Absence

  1. Click the desired absence in the overview
  2. Modify the period or type
  3. Save or click Delete
  4. Blocked slots are automatically released
